what is cc's opinion on: basil

i use to steal it and eat it plain but then the novelty wore off. but the bunches were exceptionally large today and it was on sale (which it never is) for .99 instead of the loathsome 2.99, so i bought some.

now i am munching on it. i think it might be neuroactive.

It’s the part of a caprese salad that I don’t eat.

You stole basil? I have a basil bush/plant right outside my house.

I LOVE BASIL. tbh I didn’t mean to shout that, I just accidentally hit capslock. But then I realized that it adds to the emotion. So I left it. basil.

Basil is ranked 18th on my top 25 herbs and spices list.

I’d like to see that list.

me too. if basil is 18 he must have some good stuff on that list. also i’m jealous and want to improve my own list.

I do have good stuff on that list, but I’m also not a huge fan of basil.

Paprika on the other hand… oohhh… don’t get me started

I like peppermint. Christmas in a leaf.

Peppermint is good too. It fluctuates from 3-6 on my list depending on how close it is to the winter holidays (gotta be politically correct, ya know?).

Right, you want to give all of them a chance. What about cinnamon? Tasty in small quantity, deadly if abused?

basil is okay, but I like parsley better.

I LOVE Basil! I put it on all of my sandwiches (except PB&J… although that would be interesting to try…) :D.

where would mint go on your list dfree?

on another note, I can’t believe you actually made a list xD

It adds flavor to food, that’s pretty much it. o-o

I will assume mint = spearmint. Spearmint and cinnamon both hold a special place in my top 5… in healthy doses of course.

I love lamp.

Chocolate mint holds a special place in my heart.

Basil is good too, though I usually only eat it with pasta.

This thread sums up HSL…

Way better than thyme. Literally the only redeeming value thyme has is that its name is an easy pun.

Protip: put basil on pizza for a blissful eating experience.
