What is early admission?

some colleges offer early admission. what is that?

Is that the same as Early Decision?
Anyways,if it is...
You apply early and if you get accepted, you have to go to that school.

It depends on the school and how the terminology is being used. Some schools consider early admissions ED (which is binding) or EA (non-binding) while other schools designate early admissions as student who are admitted to college as high school juniors.

There's a lot of different types. EA, SCEA, ED, ED II, etc.

Early admission - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

o yea i meant early decision..does that mean i can take the SAT in my junior year and get accepted into a college that offers early decision in my junior yr ?

Typically, you apply for Early Decision at the beginning of your senior year and learn whether you are accepted in December of senior year.

So not junior year, no. The only reason you would apply junior year is if you were graduating as a junior.

Acceptance after junior year, without graduation, is called "early admissions." ED is "early decision", EA is "early action."

Some schools do offer early admissions to exceptionally talented juniors.
