I am a international student, I have no idea about this program in the university, could anybody can tell me the truth, thanks a lot

At various universities, there are honors programs or honors colleges. These are programs that often offer more discussion-based, seminar classes for the students who qualify for the program. The classes are often small - perhaps limited to 15-20 students - to allow more discussion-style learning.

Honors classes can be departmental classes - such as honors calculus I - or they can be just a liberal arts honors class that isn’t part of a department, yet fulfills a Core Req’t or General Ed req’t. Some are rather unique classes, and might be related to some current event.

Some honors programs require a thesis, but some don’t.

Some schools select honors members from a pool of students with specific stats. Some school admit all that meet certain stats.

There are often other benefits to being in an honors program such as…honors housing, priority registration, etc.

thank you lol
