What is House?

This question probably been asked and answered before but for my own clarification.

Fictional character. Fictional specialty.

See: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/careers-medicine/532155-diagnostician.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/careers-medicine/532155-diagnostician.html</a></p>

"That kind of career does not exist."

A legal and ethical liability that would never ever exist in real life.

I imagine a medical director or department head would be the closest right?
They control teams of doctors and are "advisers", but unlike House they are not walking specialist on every medical disease ever.

I mean watch House....He perform Heart Surgery and Brain Surgery in the same day. ... That is some BS

Medical directors and department heads are analogs to Cuddy, not House. Their role is dominantly administrative.

You're right

If you want to be House, I recommend you program WebMD..
