What is medical school like?

I need to know the truth because I have heard too many horror stories.
How are the classes at medical school? How many hours a day are you in class? How many hours of sleep do you get a night? Is there time to be involved in a school group or do other extra-curricular activities? Is there time to volunteer?
What are rotations like? How many hours a week are they?

I appreciate your response.
I just need to know what I'll be getting myself into because I'm planning to apply to med school next year

Thanks

When your in med school you don't do, "School Activities" because you are no longer a college student. You are a grad student. I don't know how or why you would volunteer during this time period, unless it was something you have a deep deep passion for. It would only be for your own pleasure. The class schedules for many med schools can be found on their websites. But basically what you do in a few days of a bio type class now, you do in a few hours in med school.
