What is more beneficial for raising my chance of college acceptance?

Hey guys and gals, I have a huge decision to make, and would like to see where different people stand on this. For this summer before my Junior year, I have the chance of either creating mobile apps for my self to make some money, and also do contract apps with companies(I have one that I'm doing for sure with a company), or create apps for my high school teachers to use in their classrooms that will help them do many things they haven't done before. So which route should I go? I certainly can do a little of both, but I'm just curious to see if going the route of just making apps for money for me, or make apps that help my community? Will choosing one or the other increase/decrease my chances of acceptance? Also are colleges looking more for community work, or just the accomplishment of being able to create apps? Thanks and hope to read your responses! on a side note, do summer internships look good on college applications?

Choosing one over the other won’t really have an affect on your admission. However creating apps for your high school teachers would probably go a long way towards a good recommendation letter.

Why can’t you do both. If you are capable of making multiple apps this summer, how about one for me (earning money) and one for you (a teacher who expresses interest in having an app b/c there’s no sense making apps for teachers that aren’t enthusiastic about utilizing them)…repeat as many times as you are capable. :)
