What is my chance at top 10 universities?

Honestly, Applying to any Top 20 school is a crapshoot. It’s like playing the lottery. You never really who and who won’t get in.

Your only chance at those schools is if you win the Intel Science Talent Search. Good Luck.

I go to Stuyvesant High School. As far as I know, there are no neighborhood equivalents. The only people that could possibly consider your school to be “the LES Stuy” are probably the ones attending it. And what kind of school spirit does being called an ersatz regional alternative create?

Now you’re patronizing people attending public schools. Granted, SUNY’s are on the lower end of state schools–especially when compared to UNC, UVA, etc. But the people attending them are not dumb. I wouldn’t be suprised if you got rejected from CUNY Hunter for bashing them in your essays.

dats not brkn english. That’s just having no clue how to use colons. And if you wanted to see a convention table, why, your laptop is probably sitting on it right now.

OK, college applications arn’t black and white. But you can’t create a great gray-scale without including black and white.

What else is there to your application? Your EC’s are standard at best. President of the Chinese Club? Club presidents are overrated, especially because they rarely do anything. I could’ve started a bungee-jumping club, declared myself the president, not go on one bungee jump and still state it on my application. I didn’t but I could have. See what I mean?

And you can’t write great essays without proper mechanics.

That being said, good luck on your UPenn summer program. I heard they reject applicants too.

What school, being ranked 64, has a highest GPA of 3.9? That is just sad, my school, Connecticut public unranked, has a highest gpa of a 4.6

It is a show of the level of rigor at the school. It is typically easier to get an A in a relatively unrecognized public school than say, a private school like Andover.
