What is my Chance of getting Accepted into Georgia Tech?

<p>What are my chances of getting accepted to Georgia Tech?
Im a Junior who wants to be a chemical engineer. I currently have an unweighted GPA of 3.7 and a weighted GPA of 4.4
I've taken several AP classes that include:
-Modern European History
-Literature
-US I
And plan to take AP Chem, AP US II and AP Lit II next year.
I've taken multiple engineering classes that are available at my shool:
- Intro to Engineeing
- Principles of Engineering
- Computer Aided Design I &II
And I'm taking Aerospace Engineering and Digital Electronics next year. I also plan on taking Statistics H.
As for activities:
In School:
-Red Cross Club
-Football Frosh & Soph years
-Lacrosse Frosh year
-Project Lead The Way Member
-Spring Track Junior and next year.</p>

<p>Outside of School:
-Habitat for Humanity volunteer builder
-Teacher of CCD at my local church
-Police Explorer Member </p>

<p>As for Test Scores, I'm still preparing and plan to retake them, they are not the greatest.
SAT: 1790
ACT:
-9 on the essay, 28 for Eng,27 Math. How are my chances? Georgia Tech is my number one choice and I really want to better my chances of being accepted. </p>

<p>Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Test scores are going to make it rough. GATech is a top 10 engineering school. S1 looked very hard at it, but the urban nature of the campus was a big turn-off for him. Most colleges do not care much about HS engineering classes. They are basically there to help students decide if engineering is for them, but are not considered rigorous like taking the important courses like calc, physics, chem, etc. Focus on the Match/CR portions of the SAT. The writing is important, but not nearly as much as the core sections. I would expect you would want to be closer to a 1450-1500 range for the core to get into GATech. Maybe consider starting at a lesser school and transferring in later. UGA may be a better fit initially. Good Luck!</p>
