Yeah, I know this sounds like a really dumb question, but what exactly is NHS? All I know is that it's some prestigious club/organization (it's also at my school). But what ls it's purpose, what does it do, etc?

I’ll just link you up to the website that gives the benefits of NHS membership.

Basically it’s something you can show off in your transcript. Not very hard to get in, just have a GPA of 3.6 (I think) or higher and do some EC’s and you’ll be fine. I think they take juniors and seniors but some sophomores get in too, not too sure about that. Hope it helped!

NHS stands for National Honor Society and is an organization that has chapters in different high schools across the country. Each chapter can decide who they admit and their admission process but must uphold the organizations main ideals. At my school a 3.5 GPA is needed with an intensive application process. I’m not sure if this applies to all but at my school they do community service as a group (also required individually), fundraising and tutoring. It is a highly recognized by colleges.
