Just wondering what will be on my transcript when I receive it! Will it have my course history, grades, weighted GPA, unweighted GPA? I would assume so, just making sure! What else is on it?

depends on school
my school its semester grades plus Midterm/final and Weight GPA

It depends on your school. Literally no one on College Confidential can give you a good answer unless they go to your school. And you probably don’t want to publicly reveal what school you go to on CC.

Just to show you what variation goes on, my transcript has quarter, semester, and final grades, in letter grade form. It doesn’t have teacher names. It only has a weighted GPA. It only reports class rank for each year, idk if it’s cumulative class rank or not. Each year they’ll calculate cumulative and year GPA and both are shown. Test scores can also be included, including our entire SAT/ACT history, PSAT scores, and state testing scores.

Other schools just have final class grades and only calculate unweighted GPA. Just check with your school. It will definitely have course history and grades, and most likely have at least one GPA unless you’re in some uber-competitive school that refuses to even calculate GPA.

Obviously this varies by school, but here’s a list of what my transcript includes to help you get an idea. My school gave me a copy of my transcript when I asked, and yours might be able to do the same.

My high school’s name, address, and phone number.

My name, address, phone number, gender, Student ID number, date of birth, social security number, admission date (meaning the day I started there, since it’s a public school that takes anyone), and graduation date.

The number of absences and tardies I had in high school (and part of middle school for some reason).

My unweighted GPA and class rank as a fraction where the denominator is the number of people in my class (my school doesn’t do weighted GPA). If your school calculates a weighted GPA, it will almost certainly be on your transcript.

All the courses I got credit for in each grade, along with the number of credits each course is worth and the **final letter grade/b for each course. This includes all the courses I ever took in high school, including courses I tested out of, courses I took on a pass/fail basis, and dual-enrollment courses (along with the name of the college where I took them).

All of my SAT, ACT, and state test scores from high school. Of course, I still had to have official score reports sent from the College Board and ACT websites when I applied to colleges. My PSAT and PLAN scores are not included.

A list of how many credits I earned in each grade.

A stamp and signature from my guidance counselor. My copy is an unofficial transcript, so it has a watermark that says “unofficial.”
