My appointment window is from July 8th to july 29, does that mean I have to register for my courses online between those dates? I don't have to physically show up on campus right?

You must stay on campus from July 8th to July 29th.

Haha, jk. Yeah that’s just the time they open it up on the student center thing. I believe it closes on the 29th, I guess so they can do a census for all the courses and get prepared for everything, and then it opens up again like right before orientation (or around then), with add/drop and whatnot I believe.

But you can change your schedule around as much as you want between the 8th and the 29th AFAIK.

That “appointment window” is really confusing. It sounded like everyone would be getting a specific time but I think all the CAS students got the same time.

It says that my appointment begins at 9am but some people said that they have 7am…I might log on at 7 just to see if I can start anyway xD

I’d be willing to bet it’s 9am eastern, which means I’ll be able to register at 8 am local time (central).

I’m just curious, how many people are going to actually get up and be ready to enroll at 8 am, and who’s just gonna say forget it and do it when they get around to it?

I’m going to force myself to wake up on time. Most of my classes are popular intro courses, so I don’t want to be locked out just because I was too lazy to get up lol ;)

Aghhhh…where is the appointment window? The only enrollment-related box I have in student center is one that says "Open Enrollment Dates " which when clicked tells me that my enrollment period begins on august 26th. Any help? To what Cornell office should I call?

Maybe call the CAS registrar? The number is here: [College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University](http://www.arts.cornell.edu/registrar.php)

The 8th is my birthday and I was going to go to an amusement park to celebrate, but because of the Cornell course-enrollment schedule, I moved my trip to Thursday and will be sitting at home doing nothing on my big day. I’d better get the classes I want >.>

And good luck with that, zero! I hope they sort everything out.

Thanks guys, I’ll call tomorrow to get things fixed up.

Zero, Had same problem. I e-mailed the registrar of the CAS late yesterday and the problem was fixed this morning. Window now says enrollment begins July 8. Good Luck!

I just called the Arts and Sciences Registrar’s office and they fixed up my appointment date. Here’s the number of the office if someone else needs it to correct their appointment date: 607-255-5004

Thanks for all your help fellow Cornellians!

I’m engineering and my thing says my appointment starts July 20th.

:/

Yeah Mike, I’m in HumEc and my appointment window is also on the 20th. I think that only CAS has an earlier appointment window.

EDIT - wait, nevermind, just checked the CoE website and it says “Coming mid-July…information about Fall 2009 course selection and enrollment!!!”

Only CAS freshmen pre-enroll tomorrow…all other freshmen pre-enroll later in the month, since they are automatically registered in certain required courses.

where do we pre-enroll? i can’t find a link or anything…

Student Center…you can find the link with instructions here: [Creating Your Schedule - First-Year - New Students - Cornell University](http://newstudents.cornell.edu/first-year/courses/create.html)
