I have wondered what the answer is, and so far I came up with:

1.Princeton Rewiev
2. Kaplan's
3. Barrons
4. and College Board

Can anybody tell me which book has the hardest test questions, and a good section for helping preparation for writing essays, reading comprehension, math, and vocabulary?

Since you are looking for the hardest questions, i suggest you get barrons. writing section in barrons is comprehensive and helpful.

Get the College Board book.

Personally for things like vocabulary I use EasyDefine(www.easydefine.com) to memorize words, just because it’s so easy to keep vocabulary lists in one place and quiz yourself.

Im using barron’s.It is indeed very comprehensive.

Collegeboard and PR for practice tests. Silverturtle’s Guide for methods. Direct Hits and PR Hit Parade for Vocabulary and you’re set. I’ve improved from an 1870 as a freshman in january to around a 2180-2240 consistently as a rising sophomore. I took probably 4-5months not studying between this duration and when i did, it was one hour max, unless i was taking a practice test

Thanks College guy
