What is the Cornell GPA out of?

On the transcript sent to graduate schools, is it listed out 4.0 or 4.3?

I believe it is out of 4.0 and if you get an A+ it just goes in as overage points. I think it's still out of 4.0 though. (haven't taken a class there yet, will in the fall, just what I gathered from this board)

Yes, I believe its still considered the 4.0 system. At some universities it's impossible to get over 4.0, but the scale is the same.

At Cornell an A is 4.0, and an A+ is 4.3

And another school, like princeton for example, an A is 4.0 and an A+ is still 4.0.

I think that some schools work like Cornell, others work like princeton, and others use something different altogether. As to how prevalent each of these sytems is countrywide, your guess is as good as mine.

i'm pretty sure that if your GPA is anywhere between 4.0 and 4.3 it won't really matter what the scale is haha
