What is the difference between research and primary care medical schools?

What is the difference between the two?

Nothing except for the emphasis they place. You will notice that many of the same schools appear on both rankings. Some schools place more emphasis on churning out good primary care doctors while other schools place a premium on doing academic/clinical research.

So people who go to the schools like Harvard and Johns Hopkins are more researched based? But don't they still educate great doctors as well? And wouldn't the prestige of a doctor coming from there be greater than some of the doctors who come from the top primary care medical schools?

Sorry about the string of questions. I have too many of them, could anyone answer them for me?
