what is the difference?

what is the difference between undergraduate and graduate?

please reply! thank you!

Undergraduate is the first four years of college (sometimes more or less depending on the student). Graduate is anything after that where you try and get a higher degree. I’m nowhere near an expert, so I’m sure someone can explain it better than I can, but that’s the basic gist.

it means TAs vs professors, in a lot of universities

Undergrad leads to a bachelor’s degree and is usually completed in 4 years or so. Graduate school leads to any number of graduate degrees – MBA, PhD, MS, MA, etc. but usually a master’s, then a doctorate. They can be completed in 4 years often and more. They’re much more research-based and grad students often are TAs for undergrad courses.

There are also what are called “professional programs” at universities. These are usually graduate programs in areas like law or medicine–although they are sometime programs in areas like nursing, pharmacy, or radiation therapy–some of which give undergraduate degrees, some of which give graduate degrees–and sometimes ones which give only associate degrees.
