So if I get a degree in Secondary education, adn double major in Psychology, doe that mean I can only teach psychology or any subject? I want to teach english, should I major in english education? If so, will that allow me to teach at a secondary level?

Again, it depends on the requirements of your state. In PA, you must major in Secondary Education in English to teach english, and Secondary Education in Math to teach math, etc.

A dual degree means that you have fulfilled all of the requirement of two degrees (more credits) and will get two diplomas, for example, a BS Ed and a BA English. You would then be enrolled in two colleges within the university and have an advisor in each. A double major (fewer credits) means that you will get one diploma with both areas listed on it, for example, a BA in psychology and english. I don’t think you can get a double major including education in PA.
