What is the exact Common App deadline?

I am an international from Europe (CET timezone)

I was wondering, the Common App deadline is January the 1st. When logging in the Common App, it says “All deadlines are 11:59 p.m. your local time, […]”

Does this mean that the deadline is December the 31st 11:59 pm CET (as it says my local time) or January the 1st 11:59 pm CET ?

For applicable schools. Different schools have different deadlines. To be absolutely safe, get your application in at least 24 hours in advance of whatever deadline you see. Systems can go down, and it’s possible you could misinterpret the deadline.
