Ok, so i have just taken my SAT for the third time in november after studying long and hard, I was unaffected by the first 2x but for some reason my mind went bonkers, it took till the 4th section when i started doing really good. You don't know how ****ed off and upset I was at myself, i really wanted to have some chance in getting into Georgetown, but the problem is right now (I obviously don't no my Nov. scores) I am at a 1280, not up to standards, and i really thought i would do good this test date so i signed up for two other SAT IIs (took Us history in may -770) but now i feel like there prob is no reason to take them since even if i do good on them which i am pretty sure i will, ill still get denied because my scores aren't high enough. Now i am pretty sure tey went down but honestly i have no idea, so i was hoping if possible i can take them again on January 23, 2010. Is this possible for Georgetown, and/ or other schools?

i have loads of extra cirr. (varsity wrestling, eagle scout, boy state, NHS, others) and am 16 out of 457 in my class. what is your advice, should i apply do ihave a chance if i do well on the subject tests?

Why does everybody here have much better EC’s than I do? :(

HopefulEagle86, don’t worry… i feel that way too =(

Definitely try to get your SAT score up… doing well on SAT II subjects may help but I’m not sure… There are some schools that don’t required the SAT/ACT if you want to look into them… Also, if you have a hard time with SATs, why don’t you try the ACT?
January 23rd might be late but you can ask the specific school by email or phone.

Nah, SATs I’m fine with. I took it on Saturday, should be around 1790-1820 for now.
When I retake it in Dec, Im hoping for at least 1930-1950 or even higher.
I didn’t take honors or AP USH last year… so next semester even in Senior year, I’m stuck with studying the USH until I take in May and do well on it (600+). I’m also going to try to take the Math 2C since I’m in Precalculus this year.
I’m taking the USH again in January (again I will fail like I did in October).
And if I wanted to transfer to my dream school, I would need strong grades at another college for a year, cause they look at the HS work also… which I’m pretty much screwed…taken into my lesson.

Can’t comment on whether OP should take the SAT again. However, to the extent the question simply asks the last test accepted, Georgetown accepts through the Jan test date for the SAT or SAT IIs. A number of other colleges do also but many don’t (Dec is the last test date for many) so you really have to check each school and usually the last test date accepted is something you can find on their internet site.

im at 1950, before nov. test, g-town doesn’t care about writing though

Im wanting to do the same. Thing is I’m considering giving my SAT I in january and SAT II in december. Ive taken both once already. Do you think colleges like harvard and princeton will update my scores?

Harvard will. Unsure about Princeton.

What about Georgetown? Does anyone know if they’ll accept Jan SAT IIs?
