They strongly recommend we send three but I don't feel like taking another one when Georgetown is the only school that wants three (all the Ivy+ only require 2).

Worst Case Scenario: Can I just take an SAT II in January and still be eligible for regular decision?

Im dreading it, too (I’ve already taken Math II and Bio M, but I still have to take Physics for Carnegie Mellon). But it’s best to be on the safe side. You don’t want to give the admission reviewers any reason to say “no.”
If you’re really burned out now as you say you are, then take it during the fall (Oct./Nov.). That’s what I’m doing.

Hey everybody! I’m happy to hear potential Hoyas! I was admitted as a member of the class of 2016, and I didn’t take any subject tests. I feel that Georgetown really does mean “recommend” when they said “recommend”. You can compete with other students without three subject tests, so if you can’t/don’t want to take another, I’d say that you should feel fine in skipping it.

I feel like the fact that they are the only school that recommends three is on purpose, though. I mean, I’m sure you’d still be competitive, but it shows a commitment to Georgetown that you’re willing to take three…if Georgetown isn’t your first choice though, and/or you feel that you are competitive overall, I’d say don’t worry about it.
