Is a 3.75 GPA low for Harvard?
I have heard that usually athletes are the ones who are recruited and have lower GPAs. Can you get in with a GPA of 3.75 or is that low? Thanks

You don't provide enough information.

From my stock reply file:

It's never enough background information to ask about grades without identifying the courses too.

The most important factor it would depend on is whether you took all the most difficult courses that you could at your school. It would also depend on how highly ranked your school is, and (of course) what else you have going for you, both test scores and extracurriculars.

Yes. Most Harvard students will have a higher GPA than that from high school.

Like other users said, though, context matters.

The real question is what sort of a student you are at your school. What's your rank? How did you do compared to other kids in the same courses? My younger so for example got a 92 in one of his courses. I found out today that it was the second highest grade in the class.

95% of class in top 10%. Remember, Harvard rejects more Valedictorians than accepted. When you can reject 9/10 applicants, most 3.75s don't make the cut.

84 percent of enrolled students reported class standing.

The basic point is correct that Harvard can afford to be choosy. High schools vary so much in curriculum difficulty and grading standards that it is hard to say more to the OP than that.
