What Is The Possible Lowest Sat Score You Can Have To Get Into Columbia

i really need pointers in cr lol. but for math....if u practice all the different types of question enough, ull know every single type of question they'll ask by the time of the test. i just practiced a lot of math questions. o and also get really familiar with ur calculator lol. i dont know if that'll help... math is so much easier to improve than critical reading i tried so hard but i cant see improvement...

Is a 1360 (760M 600CR) on the low side for columbia?

If you are applying to SEAS you can get by with the 600 CR....i had a 610.

oh really? im not sure if im going to apply to SEAS. maybe the 610 was good cause they paid attention more to math, but for Columbia College 600 is too low right? lol agh i really have to improve! what got u in with the 610 anyway?

i had an SAT 2 writing score of 740 and had an EC that showed that i knew english! (section editor of school paper)....in other words for SEAS they really dont care if you have a massive vocab as long as they know you can write and have a good command of english its fine. They did change the SAT 1 though, i heard, so i dont know how its looked at now.

hey kaiten

for critical reading ..
what i do is read the question first then look for the answer..

orr depending on the type of question.. glance through the reading first then see if u can try to answer thr question

IMMA PRACTICE MATH LOL !

lol. thx for ur advice, i think ive been doing that, but i think my trouble is that i cant understand things fast enuf. i guess maybe i should just keep practicing too!

I think that its really something that you either get or you don't. I would suggest getting some of the critical reading workbooks put out by Barron's (my favorite), Kaplan, or PR. If you need even more practice, look into the blue SAT book put out by the college board.

I got a 720CR/630M/590W and am using the method above to raise my math and writing scores. If there is one thing you do get, i would recommend the SAT blue book from the Collegeboard because it's practice tests from the actual test makers. I think that to raise your CR, you just need practice and the college board tests will offer the closest thing to the real test.

Good luck

a girl from my school got in this year with a 2050 SAT

i agree that knowing what kinds of questions they will ask helps- practice tests are great for that, although i like the mcgraw-hill book- it has practice tests, too. also, just taking it again can improve your score. the second time i took the sat, my cr went up 30 points (750-770) even though i only studied for the math sections.

einnyc = necromancer level 13

thanks for sharing dude..by the way, I hope you did well on the math as well (770 - 750 = 20 != 30)

haha thanks for the help. 750-780. actually, i'm not that good at math, and i am a girl, and have no idea what a necromancer is, and have never played anything with levels. honestly.
