What is the prettiest campus?

Stanford and Rice

university of richmond-amazing
georgetown as well

The College of William and Mary.....................beautiful.

ok how about a twist. Which public schools (state included, duh) have the best campus?

(mainly in the northeast :P hehe)

After tour with S this year embracing some of the above schools, including Vassar, Swarthmore and Midd, and living near Princeton, I don't think it's even close -- Cornell is the most beautiful physical setting. It sits on a mountain, above a lake, in between two gorges, and the buildings are varied. Midd is also awesome in that it sits way above the mountains, but most of the buildings are all the same (although a nice same -- white granite).

um W&M def not the prettiest. My dad lives 5 min from it...no way.

yeah cornell is gorges.

oh man, so unoriginal it hurts.

but yeah, i tried to tell my friends who are applying ed to cornell that joke, and ....they gave me a really sad look and shook their head.

haha.

William and Mary is not the "prettiest", it is simply the most beautiful. Your dad needs to take a closer look and so do you.

I have no idea what my dad thinks about it...I was referencing him to point out that I have seen it multiple times. O well, matter of opinion I am sure. You are entitled to untrue thoughts. ;)

miami university in Oxford, Ohio

and you are entitled to live in your smalltown thoughts.

Pepperdine University,
UC Santa Barbara
U. Cal. Berkeley,
Sonoma State University
University of the Incarnate Word ( San Antonio Tx.....this university decorates with hundreds of thousands of lights at Christmastime and it is breathtaking)

Middlebury, Colby, UChicago, Occidental.

Are you kidding? Is there really such a school? Not to get off topic... but what are its differing ideals? Something to do with re-incarnation?

No of course I'm not kidding. Obviously it's a Catholic University. Look it up if you would like to find out more about it.

UIW NOW LARGEST CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY IN TEXAS

The University of the Incarnate Word is now the fifth largest private university in Texas, according to figures released this week by the association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas (ICUT). UIW started the fall semester with 4,800 students, an 8 percent increase from the previous year. This is the highest enrollment in the 123-year history of the University. Enrollment at UIW has now increased in 18 of the last 19 years. Incarnate Word also has become the largest Catholic university in the state, as well as the largest private Hispanic serving institution according to ICUT.

Recently, Consumer Digest Magazine ranked the University of the Incarnate Word sixth as a “best value” for private universities in Texas. The only other private institution from Texas to rank in the Top 25 was Rice University, which came in at No. 9.“We’re pleased to be in the position of offering a quality education at an affordable price that’s allowing the university to grow,” said Dr. Louis Agnese, Jr.

Visted Northwestern, Washington University and Notre Dame. Notre Dame is #1. WU is probably is great...but there was a lot of construction going on...but heck, construction is a good thing...

No offense but I bet a lot of you guys are just biased, but doesn't UC Santa Barbara have a beautiful campus? And no I didn't think of that school because I love it or because it's my top school.

Yah UCSB is pretty bomb. I love it too.

Our favorites featured lots of red bricks, columns, lawns, and trees: Washington and Lee, Wake Forest, URichmond, Elon.

UVa had some beautiful aspects like the Lawn, but unfortunately there are plenty of blah spots, esp where students spend lots of their time. UNC-CH and Duke left us cold. Georgetown's campus was surprisingly dirty.

I don't believe that i'm saying this but i loved university of miami (FL). It looks like a billion dollar resort ...I felt like a milionaire when i was touring the campus. If you into modern architecture and you like florida( i don't) it's a must see.
