What is the story behind your screen name?

I stole this topic from a few other threads. . . I thought it would be fun and informative to have a specifically UChicago thread on this.

Here is mine:

"Katharos" is an ancient Greek word meaning "pure" and the word from which my name is derived. As a prospective classics major (I am currently leaning more toward mathematics, though nothing is set in stone yet. . .), I thought Katharos to be fitting.

What about you guys?

Achilles Last Stand, my favorite Led Zeppelin song of all time. Came out in the year 1976, hence my screen name.

That is a great song. In The Song Remains the Same DVD, they use a riff from that song in the jam in the middle of Dazed and Confused, using the the song about putting a flower in your hair if your in San Francisco (yeah ...). Its great though, my favorite live Dazed and Confused performance.

I was reading Jack and Jill by James Patterson when I found this site and didn't think I'd stay here so long (not 3 years to say the least) so I just put it as JacknJill. I wish I put more thought into it :(

I was wearing a t-shirt I have that Rory on Gilmore Girls wore (<a href="http://www.buyolympia.com/q/Item=readingisboy)%5B/url%5D">http://www.buyolympia.com/q/Item=readingisboy)</a>, and I do find reading pretty sexy, so it seemed fitting.

I made my AIM screen name, la eskimo brad, a few years ago...and it is a bit more roundabout. Eskimo is the name of the longest and last song off of Damien Rice's album, which was my favorite album sophomore year, Brad is because it is what one of my best friends from growing up calls me (My name is Rebecca Radding, go figure, my whole family is alliterated), and it spread around, so I'll respond to Brad too...and "la" because eskimobrad was taken and I like Spanish. So yeah, longer, and entirely uninteresting story there.

mine's pretty obvious.

cookie: my freshman year a guy in my class called me ji-sookie the cookie and it just stuck with me.
monkey: freshman year someone in orchestra said "monkey see monkey do" so i just drew monkeys in my music. my teacher saw my drawings and called me MONKEY that day.
1004: my birthday october 4. also in korean, when you say 1004 it means angel (chunsa)
