What is the usual degree for prospective lawyers?

Is it Business or Economics followed by law school? Or is it law undergraduate?

Thanks,

poli science

He may be right about poli sci...but physics, math, and philosophy majors score best on the LSAT.

Don't do "pre-law". It's BS and law schools know it...not to mention the fact that if you ever change your mind about being a lawyer, you're screwed with this useless degree.

Ewwwww...physics...gross.

Anyway finance seems to be a good degree for law too...because you already have a specialty going out of law school like your knowledge of the finance industry (esp if you WORKED in financial services before law school) would help you get into the white shoe firms on wall street...but that's a speculation.

Your major will not matter. Your GPA will matter, however only to an extent. Your LSAT, on the other hand, will decide where you go to Law School. With that said, popular pre-law majors are history, polysci, and literature... basically anything that requires you to read a lot and think critically/abstractly.
