What is this essay question asking?

Just as a heads up, I am NOT trying to cheat here and get an answer to copy. I just don't understand what this question is asking.

"'Meliora': Ever better. The University's motto directs our focus toward continual improvement through learning, discovery, creativity, and enterprising collaborations among people with different points of view. Describe a 'Meliora' experience from your life."

Are they asking me to describe a way that I've improved??? I'm not sure I get what they're saying.

The best thing about vague questions, is that you can read them any way you want to.

IMO, they are asking you to describe an experience where you collaberated with someone outside of your socio-economic background. Preferably this would be a heart-warming story where you improved, or otherwise learned a valuable life-lesson.

Alternatively, you could tell them you have never had the opportunity to do that, so that’s why you want to attend their school.

Good luck

Thanks! I didn’t read it that way originally but I think you could be right.

Pretty sure they want to hear about a time when you improved as a person.
