My son got admission to UCI but the major is undeclared. How good or how bad it is ? He applied for comp sc.

It just means that he didn’t get into the Computer Science major.
Do the freshman year courses and grades determine the major ?
He will have to declare a major. If he fulfills the pre reqs and meets the GPA requirement, the college that has the major he declares has to approve it.

I applied for bio and got accepted as undeclared/undecided (not sure why), but I went onto my myadmissions page later and submitted a change of major request and was accepted into bio.
