what is United Nation Model club?

I’m assuming you’re talking about Model United Nations.

Essentially, it’s a United Nations General Assembly simulation. Each student represents a country. At the meeting, you discuss a global topic – AIDS, starvation, Darfur, clean water – anything the real UN would debate. Then, either at that meeting, on your own, or at the next meeting, (depending on how the club is run at your school), you meet with other “delegates” (student representative of each country) to write a resolution. A resolution is the UN’s version of a bill – a list of suggestions regarding the situation, for each country to follow. You then debate the resolutions and take a vote to see which ones pass.

It’s a very fun club and you learn a lot about global politics. And perhaps your school will take you on trips around the country!

PS: I’m the President of my school’s MUN club and have won numerous awards, so I know a thing or two about it. ;)

the best club ever. no joke.

you think it’s nerdy, but once you try it and get over the fact that resolutions take forever to write, you fall in love with it. it’s always worth a shot
