I am pretty familiar with all top universities, except for university of Notre Dame. I know they are big on football, but what about soccer? Are they D1? Good or bad? I know academics are rigorous, how is their economics program? Accredited professors? Are there options for small class sizes? Is the campus nice? etc, i'm pretty much asking for a synopsis of the school, with an emphasis on soccer and academics. Thanks!!!!

Notre Dame is D1 in men’s and women’s soccer. The women’s soccer program was national champions a few years ago. The men’s team is quite good as well. Notre Dame is in South Bend Indiana, about 90 miles east of Chicago. While the winters can be cold and snowy, the falls, springs, and summers are beautiful. The campus is quite large, and very green. There are two lakes on campus. I think its one of the most beautiful campuses in the country! The class sizes outside of some freshman classes is small, and very little teaching is done by anything other than professors. Because it is predominantly an undergraduate institution, the professors are very accessible. Also, there are many opportunities for research, since there aren’t that many grad students. Most departments are highly ranked, and you will get a phenomenal education - but that is true for many universities and colleges. What sets Notre Dame apart, in my opinion, is the sense of community present at the campus. That community goes with you for the rest of your life, and opens many doors for you in the future. I hope you get to visit the campus sometime, or better yet, get to spend four years learning what a great place it is!

Sounds like a great school! Thanks!
