What is USMLE 1, 2, 3 ?

Can someone explain the tests in medical school? Are they standardized?

<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You;

Of course. Even though I was looking for a second opinion form someone who might have taken it or knows about it, other than my good old friend google who can explain it to me in many different ways.

You asked for factual information–and that’s what you got. If you wanted different information, then you need to restate your questions.

The USMLEs are a series of national standardized licensing examinations required of all allopathic medical students. (Osteopathic medical students takes a similar series of exams called the COMLEX.) The first USMLE exam (STEP 1) is taken at the end of didactic instruction. The second (STEP 2 CK and STEP 2 CS) is taken after the completion of the basic required clinical rotations. The third (STEP 3) is taken either right after med school graduation or early in the intern year.

Step scores are used by residency directors to qualify a medical student for entry into a specialty.

MCAT v2, MCAT v3, and two other pass/fail tests

When I say MCAT v2 I do not mean to imply the material is the same, but the level of stress/studying/importance(in your mind) will be similar.
