what is your expected salary?

Major is PetrE. Id say I can snag a starting salary somewhere between 70,000 and 100,000 depending on how I do in school and how well the industry is doing when I graduate.

Major is underwater basket weaving

Salary: Michael Jackson’s magical glove.

Financial Analyst/Trader/CFO - I’d be happy with any of these positions, that is after I acquire an MBA from Business School

Hopefully a starting salary of around 80-100k, maybe eventually help run my mom’s multi million investment firm

I guess I don’t really care too much, but I do want to be able to afford an apartment AND groceries. I also want a nice car before I’m too old to get in it. I figure that $40,000 will suit me well if I don’t live in a big city, but these things are always relative. In Ohio, $40,000 is a lavish income for a recent grad, and I could very easily live in Ohio on that salary. In New York, I wouldn’t have quite as much buying power.

Career: Physical Therapy

Expected Salary: 60,000 starting salary, then 90,000+ later on hopefully.

I just want enough money to have a roof over my head, bread in my bowl, and shoes on my feet.

And of course, ESPN and computer access.

We can see why you didn’t major in math or finance. Almost no one makes $500,000,000+ and I’m pretty sure 0% of them majored in Art History. :p

If I become a dentist, $150,000.

“We can see why you didn’t major in math or finance. Almost no one makes $500,000,000+ and I’m pretty sure 0% of them majored in Art History.”

I guess some find it more difficult than others to detect sarcasm…

yeah, you.

^
sensible comment…

you called out someone’s inability to detect sarcasm in reference to a post where there was no sarcasm (regardless of whether they were actually telling the truth)… IE you ARE that person that cannot detect sarcasm

buck up kids there’s no need to fight.

Anyway, back on topic…I’ll probably make 30-45K out of grad school. (Education)

I’d like to make 60k. I think anything more than 40k would be a struggle.

I believe my starting salary will be around 60k. Possibly 70k. That’s not including benefits, etc etc. I could live super happily on that easily… lol. In 10 years, I hope to make 100k a year which should be easily reachable in the medical field.

Major: Pharmacy

Right out of college … (and depending on where I go)

Retail (your local Walgreens, CVS): $100-$125,000
Industry (JnJ, Pfizer, etc): ~$80,000

Realistically, I’m going to be a kajakaquillillionaire. Which is like a zillionaire, but far richer.

Of course, there’s the likely chance that my earnings will be in Monopoly play money.

i think 50k is pretty comfortable to live with

Depends on where and your lifestyle/indebtedness.

I’m aiming for $60K starting in mechanical engineering, maybe a little more if I can finish a master’s in 5 years as well. Hopefully my salary will peak around $100-120K, but who knows with inflation.
