I just started looking for something to do over the summer (currently a junior) and every deadline seems to have passed. I was looking for a summer program that didn't cost my family thousands of dollars, as my brother is going to college next year and money will be tight.

I would even do something like an unpaid internship.

Also the closer to NY the better.

look for volunteer opportunities!

Cornell Summer College still is accepting apps, but that could get pricey, I know Skidmore also has some sort of longer intensive Summer program. There’s also a critical thinking and writing based program that takes place at Bard at Simons Rock (Massachusetts). I think regular decision for the Yale Political science and Grand strategy programs might still be open. I’m obviously only well informed on Humanities programs, so this whole post may have been useless to you :D

Local hospitals sometimes provide internships

If you still haven’t found something, maybe take a CNA course? You’d get paid and it’s basically almost as good as an internship! Though this would probably only interest you if you were looking into the science/medical field. I’m going to college next year and it’s a good job for students
