What jobs/areas should I be shooting for?

Ok, I am a high school senior with a good GPA and 2110 on the SAT, so I will have some options for college.

Some of the schools I'm looking into

USC

GTown (not MSB, the College or SFS)

Notre Dame

Northwestern

Miami(FL)

Michigan(stretch financially being OOS)

Alabama

Florida State

I don't think IB is for me and I probably wouldn't get into most of the target schools IB banks recruit anyway. Plus, making a lot of money is nice, but I don't want to be a slave to money where working 80-90 hours a week is the norm. No way in hell. I want a social life/time to date when I get out of college and have a family when I get a little older.

So I hear things like consultants and S&T being thrown around. I'm not exactly sure what a consultant does, but I know they travel a lot, I know a couple of them(one doesn't really travel anymore, must being doing something else).

Not sure what I should be aiming for, I just know I don't think I want IB. Reading threads on here, they make it sound like you "only" made 120k(incl bonus) then 140k next year and it takes a while before you get up their near one million $...right?
It would be different, if I could get an IB job that pays 400k-500k a year rather quickly coming out of school. Then I would work like a dog with 90-100 hour weeks for a couple years, probably hate my life, but if I could out when I'm like 26-27 with some nice capital, I'm thinking about maybe starting my own business, or focus on something I'm passionate about.

But anyways, what kind of job should be looking into?

I don't mind working hard, but consistent work weeks of 60+ hours would probably get to me.
I'm a military brat, so I don't mind moving around and I like moving around and seeing new cities. Though I would like to settle down eventually. So maybe consulting might be a fit for me..?

Not sure what kind of business career I should go into. Can anyone offer some suggestions and descriptions?

Thanks, I know this is kind of a random post haha

Oh one thing I don’t think I touched on that much was money. Obviously money is a concern and the more the better but it won’t be the main driving force for what I want to do. If I could start at a salary of about $60-80k with potential to make six figures in a few years after starting would be nice.

If I could make $200k+ sometime when I’m still somewhat young(like 30s), then that would be great.

Am I dreaming?

Look into asset management. You can start with a decent salary, the hours aren’t that bad, and there is room at the top for advancement.
