What jobs do MIS majors start out with right after graduating?

I’m considering majoring in MIS/CIS since that’s what MyMajor recommended for me. I like web development and databases. I can program in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, and SQL, and have also created personal projects to show employers once I go job hunting. However, my biggest fear is ending up doing help desk or working at a call center, especially since I go to a no-name college in a weak city for jobs (Wayne State University in Detroit). What jobs do most MIS majors start out with after college, and what are the starting salaries like? How many years does it take to move away from that first job and finally qualify for a decent job, like full stack web developer?

Also, would you recommend me to do an MBA at a top 30 school after I gain 4-5 years of experience? I’m thinking about doing an MBA with a concentration in finance/accounting, mainly because I’d have something to fall back on in case my MIS/CIS career doesn’t work out.
