TI-89 Titanium for most stuff, but TI-83 Plus Silver Edition for IB tests, they don't allow 89 for some reason

Few things are as useless as the Texas Instrument nomenclature.

89

In calc I do my all of the calculator portions of the tests by hand first, then do the one or two problems which really require the use of a calculator... then proceed to check all answers with calculator. This way, I get done before anyone else, and also have the highest grade. People are stuck thinking that they need their calculators for each problem and skip a few because they dont know how to do them on a calculator, and on others they spend extremely long periods of time to figure out how to work something out even though by hand it takes less than 30 seconds.

I use an 84 silver edition....Bu YA! its awesome..
moose084 I agree with you, that is by far the best way to work out tests.

TI-83 Plus: needed it for algebra in 8th grade. Currently a high school senior and it hasn't let me down yet!

TI-89 from mathcounts

You don't need a Ti-83+ for algebra :/

Unless you're bad at math!

...slide-rulers and tables...

Deriving complex equations in the sand with a stick :/

Ti-84 SIlver edition
TI-89 TItanium
for AP Stats and AP Calc C

TI89. I would recommend that everyone go through and study the manual. Most people are impressed by this calculator, but are actually quite incompetent, not realizing even a fourth of its capabilities. If you really want to make use of this "tool" then you should try and fully understand it.

Yeah, the manual really does help. After going through, I was amazed at all the other little things it could do.

I use ti 83 plus.

I have a TI-83 Plus.

I use a TI-86.

TI-84 plus Silver Edition. I wanted to get a TI-89 but my 84 looks cooler. =D

You don't REALLY believe the 84 looks cooler, do you? Heh, well, I don't anyway.
