Hi, I am a junior now and I heard so many things about different classes that I need to take for pre-pharmacy…
I don’t really have a specific school that I want to go for undergraduate… But, I want to know what kind of science classes (or any other classes or… requirements) that most of the schools expect me to take IN GENERAL!
Taken from my school’s pre-professional guide for pre-pharm:
[ul]
[]Biology with lab
[]Microbiology with lab
[]Chemistry with lab
[]Organic chemistry with lab
[]Biochemistry with lab
[]Human anatomy and physiology with lab
[]Physics
[]Calculus
[]Psychology
[]English
[li]Humanities and social science classes [/li][/ul]
But this is once you’re in college. To get into college, you just need a certain number of years of each subject (science, math, English or writing, history, the categories of classes already offered in your high school). Some schools require; others recommend. It can range from 2-4 years, generally.
thank you!
Take AP Calculus, AP Chemistry and AP English in high school. Also take AP physics and AP Biology if you can.
It can vary from pharmacy school to pharmacy school what prerequisites they require. Some schools like Pitt require 63 credits others like UKY 84 I believe.

Also check with your prospective college what AP credits they accept.
My D was able to satisfy Econ, Calc1, English Comp, and some elective classes with AP credit.
