What high school classes do I really need for Pharmacy school?

I’m a senior, and our schedules just came in. I think I went overboard with my classes, so I was wondering if there’s any classes that are “safe” to drop? English, economics, and government are required, and it’s important that I take Spanish V for some honor society… So these are the classes I technically don’t need: calculus, AP biology, and physics. I also have to attend certain clubs (I guess being a club officer was a bad idea!), sports (spent a lot of $$ on clinics; can’t stop now), and volunteering.

So are any of those possible to drop or should I toughen it out?

At our high school you have to take math, social studies, science and English every year. You also have to take a year of bio, chem and physics.

You need to check what the schools you plan on applying to require.

You will need to take Calc 1 in college. It might be a good idea to take at least regular Calc in hs to prepare. You can drop AP bio if you have taken a bio class before.

You will want to have good grades in science, math and English, and good SAT or ACT scores.

I suggest dropping AP Bio.

Pharmacy schools only care about what you do while in college. Nothing from high school matters to them. Your high school classes are not a good predictor for how you will do in pharmacy school, so they don’t even consider them.

Physics and calculus will likely be helpful to take now so when you take them as prerequisites in undergrad you’ll have had some exposure to the material.
