I am taking the LSAT in June and am preparing to graduate with a B.S. in Health Science with a concentration in Health Services Administration. I would like to go to law school and work in health law upon graduation. The law school I am looking into offers a joint J.D./M.P.A. degree, which interests me because I was looking into a Masters in Public Administration prior to preparing for law school. What kind of jobs could I get with a J.D./M.P.A. joint degree?

I don’t know the answer your question, but I would advise you to look into the resumes and qualifications of people who are getting hired into the kind of job you want to do.

What law school are you looking into? What’s your GPA/what are you PT’ing at?

I have a 3.4 GPA. It depends on how I do on the LSAT but I am looking into St. Mary’s University, University of Miami, and Southern Methodist University.

How’ve you been doing on the practice tests? Those schools are a bit…risky, in terms of employment outcomes.

I started self studying mid-March and have been scoring around a 150. Two weeks ago I started a Powerscore LSAT course which ended today and I feel way more confident and feel I have a better understanding of the material on the test. I am going to take another practice test on Tuesday to see where I stand now. Ideally, I would like to have a 155-160 on the real LSAT. I will take your advice in hand and continue looking at more schools. Do you have any recommendations?

1) Go through the PowerScore prep books
2) Drill (some people buy the Cambridge package: prep tests 1-38, arranged by question types and by difficulty, for LR, LG, and RC)
3) Do prep tests 38-71, under strict time constraints

^This is a copy/pasted go to method for most 170+ scorers. I sent you a PM with some advice as well. Best of luck!
