As a prospective student, what fun things do you hope to bring home from events/college fairs? What kind of materials do you expect to receive with your acceptance?
We got absolutely no swag from any college prior to May 1 when our kids committed to attend. Really, the only thing we parents wanted was one of those removable window decals with the name of the college. DS got a hoodie, and I think he got a free t shirt. DD worked in admissions and got a ton of college clothing swag (free or at very low cost) to wear when she was working. All she wanted when graduated was a license plate holder for her car (which she still has and uses)
Are you asking about Clemson specifically or about all colleges?
Considering a lot of this SWAG ends up in the dumpster, I certainly hope this mindset ends. If you want to support a school, then buy something to do so. Endless stickers, shirts, socks, coozies, etc., does not help the situation that, environmentally, the universities are supposed to be researching to fix.
I guess I should add…we bought the car decal. And my kid bought the license plate holder.
