What kinds of colleges am I applicable for?

I am going to be a junior in the fall of '09. Basically my first two years of High School, I messed up. I got a wide range of grades from As to Cs.
My GPA is about 2.95-3.0.
I know this isn't "the end of the world" but at my school there is a lot of pressure to do well. I have really high goals, but I came upon some really tough times the past two years and it definately was reflected in my grades. My goal is to go into journalism.

Here is a summary of my statistics...

Female
African-American, Lutheran, Conservative

-2.9-3.0 GPA (Currently)
-I can probably pull my GPA up to a 3.5 by mid-senior year...(Calculated - It is possible)

Participated in:
-Mostly Enriched/AP Courses
-Tutored an Elementary Student
-Elected Rookie of the Year and Captain of High School Speech Team
-Also Regional Champion in my Speech Category
-Participant in Concert Orchestra (Cello)- Highest offered at HS
-Highly involved with Dance
-Has Summer Job
-Began a Tutoring Program for minorities at my HS (For Fall 09)
-100+ Volunteer Hours
-Again, likely will have 3.25-3.5 by mid-senior year

I am looking at Columbia University, NYU, University of Southern California, University of Maryland, U of Chicago, Macalester (MN), St. Thomas (MN)

Where do you think I can make it in?
Any other good Journalism colleges where I can major in Broadcasting or Communications that you can think of would really help as well.

If you have any other recommendations it would be great!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Also Ithaca College and UCLA have been high on my list…
