what laptop will everyone be using? would anyone recommend the macbook pro?

i dont see why you can't use a mac, i'll probably be getting a toshiba and getting my friends to soup it up

no point in getting the macbook pro unless you're planning on doing a lot of video editing, just go with the macbook, you most likely will not use the the components that make the pro better if you had it.

There are a few reasons to get the Pro over the standard Macbook. If you play any games, get the MBP. If you want a 15" or larger screen, get the MBP.

Little things here and there help the case for the MBP, but the MB is a great deal for the price...

2 inches gained on the screen/slightly better gaming is not worth the extra $800 in my mind...

anyone bringing a lenovo (formerly ibm)?

Rob, I've heard that in CSOM it's better to have a PC as opposed to a MAC

Here's the laptop offerings for BC

It's even better to have a PC than a MAC, since there's no such computer brand. MAC is an acronym for media access controller. Mac is short for Macintosh, a brand name.

Sorry, I had to...

we have to be all technical don't we ;)

Just a pet peeve of mine. I don't know when it happened, but 17 to 25-year-olds these days have a habit of "acronymizing" words that aren't acronyms.

It really really bugs me for some reason, dunno why...

i just got a new hp laptop, i was thinking about a mac but i heard about some things that might be difficult in CSOM with it so ill just wait a couple of years to get one

PC is also no brand I've heard of.
