So most of the people on CC do clubs of some kind. What leadership positions do you have/ hope to have next year? I’m just curious what the overachievers are up to.
Not really leadership, but:
Science Olympiad: Move to the team that would go to States
Science Bowl: Get on the team (almost all of the people in it are graduating, lol)
Linguistics Olympiad: Maybe rules committee?
Sorry, double post.
NHS President/VP
Interact President/VP (will choose only one bc they are both very time consuming)
Debate Team Captain (2nd yr)
Currently a freshman.
FBLA Officer(whichever is the easiest to win)
Class Vice-President(currently VP)
Academic Team(current JV Captain)
Not too many officer/leadership positions are available for freshman/sophomores at my school.
I’m going to try to be co-club leaders of academic team, science olympiad, and maybe Spanish club.
I’ll probably become lead critic of a school review team again, assuming my school continues to do it. Maybe start a linguistic club or something
@Faultystart Look into NACLO for the linguistic club.
At my school, at least for the clubs I’m in, I can’t really hold leadership until I’m a senior :-<
I’m in online school, so there are very little leadership positions available. I’m a sophomore and hoping to participate in dual enrollment my junior year, so maybe I’ll be able to find something there. The closest you can get to leadership at my school is being a “club ambassador,” which basically means you monitor the message boards for clubs and answer questions. I’m signing up for that soon.
Probably the same ones that I have (secretary of a science tutoring club and president of Neuroscience Club). I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle any more next year (I’m a junior).
Lieutenant Governor for Key Club. < This is going to take up so much time… I’m still hesitant, whether colleges will be intrigued or unfazed because I sacrificed other opportunities for it.
Robotics team captain.
I want to start a club, but I’m not sure whether I want to do Ted-Ed or Math.
Being a freshman in college.
Last year in this position I went for NHS president and captain of a few teams that I’m on. It worked out, but I would caution you all to make sure that you have enough time. Some positions are absolutely huge commitments, and can really have an impact on the time you have available for other things, whether that is actual schoolwork or a job or your social life.
This year I’m head for the school magazine designing team. Next year I’d run for class president. (We don’t really have clubs here, unfortunately)
Currently VP of The Young Black Scholars club at my school, hoping for President next year. Going to run for VP or president of Female Leadership academy, president of NHS/CSF from being treasurer this year because the rest of the officers are seniors lol. I’m founder of another business club that started last year but we haven’t actually done anything yet, also continuing Varisty Track team captain
