I don't want to go too in-depth with this, I just want to know what match schools and schools in general I should be aiming towards.

3.6 UW GPA
4.55 W South Carolina GPA
Ranked 9/300 (how will the 3.6 compare to this high rank?)

2040 SAT (650CR, 720M, 670W) - (will retake, expecting 2120+.)
I will also be taking the ACT.
IB Diploma Candidate

Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society President
Part time job
2 years of lacrosse
1 year of tennis

I'm currently pursing an internship at a financial firm in my city. I may/may not get one.

I'm a bit undecided on my major.

So what schools should I be focusing on?

How much can your family afford to pay each year, and are they willing to pay for an additional summer/semester/year?

I may need some degree of financial aid, but regardless of which schools offer a lot of aid, right now I’m just looking for a few schools that are at my level.

Any ideas?

Schools between USNews rank 25-50 should be possible.

Would be the discrepancy between the UW GPA and class rank be a factor?

I don’t think so, because a 3.6 unweighted is still a great GPA. But I’m sure it depends on the schools you plan to apply to.

Your list will be more useful if you start checking the Net Price Calculators on each college’s website as you are researching schools.

Aside from price, I’m looking for a list of schools that are at my level, that I should look into now.

Any specific suggestions?

Furman would be an easy admit for you. If you need scholarship money, you need to look at Alabama and Auburn, which are especially generous with scores in your range. Maryland schools like Goucher would work. Hope College.

Lehigh, Colgate, Boston College, Wake Forest, Boston University, Rochester, Fordham, Maryland

Thank you guys. I was actually looking at Lehigh and BC already. Just making sure they were ‘in my league’ as well as looking for a few others

Any other suggestions?

St Olaf is very good at math, as is Beloit. Those would be match schools for you and you would likely get merit money since you represent geographic diversity and have the SAT scores. The IB diploma will also play well at these schools.
