What major for marine biologist

Hello :)
Well as the title says i would LOVE to become a marine biologist, and i have wanted to for the longest. So my question (as the title says) what should my major be ? ..
I thought marine biology for obvious reasons. But i recently heard that may not be the best.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me your opions and input
Thank you :)

Just do biology, it’s better to do a masters or Phd in marine biology.

Search warblersrule’s posts. That’ll tell you all you need to know on the subject.

Costanza Studies

Thank u all so much :)

Biology would be the major to pursue at most schools. The University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science is an exception. They have a double major in biology and marine science that I HIGHLY recommend. My daughter is a senior there in the program and it has been a wonderful experience. She has had so much experience in the field, scientific cruises, research, etc. that you would not have at any other school.

Just be conscious that to do real research work you’d have to get a PhD. And nowadays grad school for marine biology isn’t free, as most sciences are.
