What major should I choose?

I want to be a pharmaceutical researcher. When I went on college websites to check some majors out, there were several majors dealing with pharmacy. Those include pharmacy (PhD), pharmaceutical chemistry (BS), pharmacology (BS), and so on. How can I know what to choose as my major if they are almost all the same?

In addition, I have a list of colleges that offer Doctor of Pharmacy program, if it happens that I will choose that road. I need to narrow down my list. My list includes…

Long Island University

Northeastern University

SUNY Buffalo

St. John’s University

Rutgers

Albany College of Pharmacy

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

University of the Sciences at Philadelphia

Can someone help me rank the Doctor of Pharmacy programs in these schools or give a testimony? Is there a core curriculum for any of these schools?

I want to thank everyone who responds to this thread. =)

This sounds like the kind of question you should take to the colleges themselves. Get acquainted with their programs by reading the requirements for a degree, and the options for other related courses. You may want to make a chart as they will get confusing after a while. Keep a list of questions, and send them directly to the department secretary.
