What major should i do in college...

The answer to your last question is that it probably doesn't matter. Take the courses that interest you most.

Biostatistics is a specialization of statistics that is developing new algorithms and ways of presenting data to answer the kinds of questions that need to be answered in the biology and medical fields. These questions can have to do with disease clusters in a population (even perhaps an animal population) or with the outcome of a clinical study.

I have studied electrical engineering, economics, computer science and accounting in that order. There are things I liked and disliked about each.

I found the accounting courses easiest, but that could be because I was older and more motivated when I took them. The challenge in accounting comes in the planning side. Job-wise, it depends on what kind of accounting you do as to what kind of planning you do. For example, CPA's do tax planning - helping people minimize their taxes by taking advantage of the legal ways to minimize taxable income. It can be very complicated for high income, high wealth clients. Cost accountants do planning on the manufacturing floor, figuring out ways to improve throughput and profit margins. Business accountants do financial analysis and planning, figuring out which business ventures are profitable and which should be discontinued, for example. Depending on the company, an accountant can be a cog in the wheel or advising the CEO on major product decisions.

Economics has several routes as well. Some economists work in the financial markets figuring out which stocks are best or balancing the risks in hedge funds. Some economists work for the government - on the budget or in the treasury office or for the federal reserve or on urban planning. Some do research (usually funded by the govt through a university or thinktank) about economic trends, etc. Some economists work for the World Bank figuring out how much money to lend various countries.

I won't go into electrical engineering or computer science because it would be a whole book.
