I also find it's crucial to get enough sleep that way you can be most productive. i really had to ***** out at my roommate (she sometimes goes to sleep at 7 in the morning!) so i could sleep by 2am to get up for 8am classes.

oh and don't bring your laptop to the library. sooooo many people waste time going on facebook/aim on their laptops. if you're not writing a paper, do NOT bring your laptop.

Bad roommates can be rather troublesome. If you simply must work at three in the morning please have the common courtesy to go somewhere other than the room where your extremely busy roommate is trying to get some sleep before morning PT. (or class) Also some people don't seem to understand that keeping a light on can be just as difficult to sleep through as blasting music.

The lesson is: work late? Go to the library. At three am rooms are for sleeping.

i have not met a single person who considers duke easier than high school. duke is not a joke. senioritis is fine, but it will kill you if you come here and don't shake it off fast.

Duke is not easy. I learned that the hard way, lol. I actually thought the study habits I had in high school (studying the morning before a test or not studying at all) would still work just fine in college. The difference between college and high school is that college professors really want to make sure that you understand the subject material and will ask questions that test more than just 'knowing the basic concepts/big picture of the subject'.
I am still trying to learn how to study, my grades were not so hot this semester.
