Please help. I'm desperate.

Reason for Transfer (Essays)
Difficulty of Coursework
Credit Hours Taken/Semester
Involvement in the University
Visit Intended Transfer School (See if they have a special transfer session)

If you can secure stellar recommendations, then it would be a huge plus.

They help, but then again I had a GWU Alumni write me a rec for GWU and was denied haha

Does involvement in the university include: clubs, fraternity, etc.

yes, thats exactly what it means.

The fact that an alum wrote a LOR does not alone mean it’s a stellar one. LORs are about the candidate, not the writer.

I am a believer in solid essays are most important and somewhat of a decent GPA(3.0+) to back up those essays. Also, if you get 2-3 good recommendations that say you are a hardwork/dedicated student, those always help.

I don’t know how hard of a school you are trying to get into, but do know that competitive schools usually have a minimum GPA.

I will be applying to a few public state universities. They are decent schools, but I do not have a high GPA as of now. How can I improve my chances of being accepted despite having a low GPA?

volunteering, activity with intended major (e.g. through clubs, internships, etc.)

thanks guys
