What makes JHU the best for BME?

I've heard so much about how Johns Hopkins is #1 for biomedical engineering. I know that the school itself has a great reputation, but within the biomedical engineering sector, what makes it stand out? Is it solely research, or are there other components?

Hmm, I'm just a prospective BME major who is hopelessly lost in all these schools...

I appreciate your responses!

I’m a recent BME alum, so I’m somewhat biased, but for my $0.02, take a look at what I wrote in this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/johns-hopkins-university/1045163-what-sets-hopkins-bme-apart.html
