Last time I took the MCAT, I self studied. Now I want to take a course to improve. What suggestions do people have regarding the best course to take. Pros and cons of each. Thank you in advance.

D1 took Kaplan because she wanted a classroom based prep class and it was the only service offering classroom-based instruction in our town.

D2 is currently taking Kaplan for pretty much the same reasons. (Only in-person course offered where she lives.)

D1’s comments about Kaplan: practice exams largely focus on the material Kaplan emphasizes in it classes and may not accurately represent what’s actually on the real MCAT. She also felt that Kaplan practice exams tended to score higher than real MCATs. Course is fine so long as you supplement their material with retired AMCAS exams.
