What music do you listen to?

^ You have the most similar taste in music to me. It’s a pretty wide type.

Genre: All over the place, but mostly mellow music (not all)
Artists: Dispatch, John Frusciante, DMB, State Radio, Ben Folds, Wilco, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Jack’s Mannequin, Matisyahu, Michael Franti, and I think that’s about a good taste.
Songs: This list would be too long and repetitive, couldn’t narrow it down.

I listen to a lot of things, right now I’ve been really into Aesop Rock for a week or two.

Ok I looked at the OP and now I will respond according to the purposes of the thread.

Genre: To be very broad, rock, and I especially like rock with some blues influence (think British invasion, and pretty much most rock).
Artist(s): The Beatles, Talking Heads, Death Cab for Cutie, The Clash
Song: Once in a Lifetime by the Talking Heads will probably always be my favorite song.

list your favorite:

I am ADD when it comes to music. I can not listen to the same kind over and over. I listen to rock, classic, pop, some rap, jazz, dance, other kinds I am missing. I don’t listen to country or heavy metal. Terrible.

I pick a song one day and listen to it over and over. Therefore, my favorite song changes everyday. I haven’t picked today’s yet.

Pretty much anything that’s not country/Disney pop/rap. Especially rock, alt, and electronic though. Practically all British artists are amazing.
Coldplay, Imogen Heap, Morrissey, U2, Bright Eyes, Belle and Sebastian, The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, Guster, David Bowie, The Kooks, Snow Patrol, Regina Spektor, Supertramp, Lady Gaga
Life in Technocolor ii and Lovers in Japan by Coldplay, Headlock and Goodnight and Go by Imogen Heap, First of the Gang to Die by Morrissey, For the Price of a Cup of Tea by B&S, Logical Song by Supertramp, Beautiful Day and Kite by U2.

i don’t like listening to mainstream music… miley cyrus, jonas brothers, lil wayne, lady gaga, etc those artists SUCK

Genre: I think everything can fall under the rock umbrella (alternative, indie, and whatnot) but always like some of others…
Artist: RHCP will always be my fav…but aerosmith,ballyhoo,pepper,oar,death cab,doors,the killers,pearl jam,3eb,weezer,thermals,lbc…and a lot i probably forgot atm.

The new Jay-Z album is AWSEOME!!! Anyone who hasn’t listened to it should do so right now!

I listen to everything, so I’m not sure really how to narrow it down. I guess my favorite genres at the moment would be Alternative Rock, Math Metal/Math Rock/Mathcore/Crazy technical music with insane time signatures, Jazz, Progressive Rock, etc.

My favorite bands would probably be (at the moment): Protest the Hero, The Killers, Foo Fighters, System of a Down, Silversun Pickups, Muse, Fair to Midland, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, Fall of Troy, Radiohead/Thom Yorke, Rage Against the Machine, Rush, Foxy Shazam, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Rishloo, The Eagles, Wes Montgomery, Louis Armstrong, Joe Satriani… yeah.

I couldn’t possibly choose a favorite song. Although, lately, I can’t stop listening to Limb From Limb by Protest the Hero.
